BSAF 2019: Wicked Queer Film Festival, Day Five

IT’S HERE! IT’S HERE! Boston Springs A Fethival 2019 is officially underway, and we’ll have info for all the various festivals and their schedules every day, so be sure to keep your browser turned to eCinemaBoston.com for all the latest info!

One of the oldest film festivals of its ilk, the Wicked Queer Boston LGBT Film Festival is now in full swing.

Tonight, the festival is taking it easy with just one offering, the film Crystal City. Here’s the write up from the official fest website:

Each year, thousands of gay men are introduced to methamphetamine through hookup apps and sex clubs in search of heightened sexual pleasure. With consistent use, the power of the drug overtakes most users. ‘Crystal City’ explores the worsening epidemic through the eyes of recovering addicts and active users as they attempt to overcome their disease.

The film will be screening at the Fenway Community Health Center, 1340 Boylston St., 10th floor, at 6:30 PM. Admission is free. Director Terrence Crawford will be in attendance. For more on the film and info on the location, click here!

Remember, featured films on any given day can and DO sell out, so the earlier you snag tickets, the better off you’ll be! For complete information on the festival and it’s upcoming offerings, be sure to visit the official website at http://wickedqueer.org.  We love this festival; Wicked Queer always finds the best programming possible! And this year is no exception – they will be offering up a number of US and World Premieres, and also screenings of several favorites from the past year or so.

Running through April 7, you can catch screenings at various locations around the Hub, including the MFA, the Arts/Emerson Paramount Theater, and the French Cultural Center, all in Boston, and at the Brattle Theatre in Cambridge. And we’ll have daily schedule and ticket info right here. Be sure to stay informed by keeping your browser on eCinemaBoston for complete schedule and ticket info! We’ll also be covering WickedQueer and the other NINE festivals and film series that happen in greater Boston between March 1 and May 1 every year coming up in late May on our two part “Boston Springs A Fethival” episodes of eCinemaOne‘s Subject:CINEMA podcast!
