The 2016 Boston Turkish Film Festival heads into it’s final film weekend with two gems from the past year, both award winners at various film festivals
First up at 12:30 PM is the coming of age drama Snow Pirates, following the exploits of three teenagers in search of a new supply of coal, which is the lifeblood of their homes. Director Faruk Hacıhafızoğlu will be in the house for a Q&A after the film.
Then at 3:00 PM comes the travel documentary Istanbul Unveiled, an intimate portrait of the historic city from writer/director/producer Şerif Yenen, who is in attendance for a special presentation after the film.
Both films will be screened at the Remis Auditorium @ Museum of Fine Arts. Click on the film titles above for more information and ticket purchase info as well.
Sunday is the final day for the film portion of BTFF – special concerts will make up the next three weekends of entertainment. We’ll have full info on the last day of the film festival tomorrow morning right here at eCinemaBoston!
