Well, this one sounds like a doozy – if I understand the synopsis correctly, it’s about rival gangs at a school for the deaf, and the film has no dialogue whatsoever – sign language only, no subtitles, no narration, and music. Sounds like our kind of experimental piece…heh heh. “The Tribe” got raves at the Toronto Film Festival, and is playing IFFB on Friday April 24 at 9:15 PM at the Somerville Theatre. Here goes!
