The 2014 edition of the Salem Film Fest gets underway today with opening night film A Fragile Trust.
A FRAGILE TRUST tells the shocking story of Jayson Blair, the most infamous serial plagiarist of our time, and how he unleashed the massive scandal that rocked The New York Times and the entire world of journalism. Filmmaker Samantha Grant will be in attendance for a Q&A after the film. The film will screen at 7:30 PM at CinemaSalem. Tickets can be purchased at the CinemaSalem box office during regular business hours. Or you can also pick up a pass for the entire fest as well.

The Fest begins with a kickoff party at Old Town Hall at 5 PM today, sponsored by The Salem Chamber of Commerce, Salem Film Fest, and the Creative Economy Association of the North Shore. The kickoff is free and open to the general publich, and you can meet VIPs, listen to music, and compare itineraries with fellow film lovers at this festive event. Old Town Hall is located at 32 Derby Square.
