12:51 PM – Governor Deval Patrick has signed an executive order banning non-emergency vehicles from all roadways effective at 4 PM today. This is likely to cause ALL theaters to close by that point, but no official comment has been issued by Regal, Patriot, Showcase, or Entertainment Cinemas. AMC Theatres in the Boston area will close at the end of the currently playing show, with all locations expected to close by 2:30 PM. We will keep PNRBoston readers up to date with the latest info as it comes in. 6:18 PM – after spending the last hour on the phone we have verified all but one of the theaters in the area are indeed closed – some theaters will remain closed on Saturday as well. We will update the listing on Saturday with opening times or if they will remain closed.
