COVID-19 UPDATE: Statement from West Newton Cinema

To Our Valued Patrons and Friends,

In the matter of a few short days, it feels like all our lives have been upended. Every day is bringing more uncertainty than the day before.

Based on updates that we received today, I have made the decision to close The West Newton Cinema. This decision was made with the health and safety of both my staff and our community in mind. It is my hope that sooner rather than later I will be able to open my doors and share with you my most favorite past time of going to the movies.

I know that I am not the only small business in our community that has made the decision to close, however being that the theater is a service business, the cinema will have no source of cash flow until we reopen. I cannot show movies or serve popcorn curbside.

Although we are closed, there are still bills and operating expenses that will need to be paid so that we are able to open our doors when authorities deem it safe to do so.

It is with that in mind that my children created a GoFundMe page to help bridge the gap during this closure.

I am humbled by their gesture and wanted to share the information with you. Should you be in a position to help, I would be incredibly grateful. And, your next popcorn will be on me when we are able to reopen!

I hope everyone remains healthy & safe during this time.
All my gratitude,
David Bramante
