COVID-19 UPDATE: Martha’s Vineyard Film Festival postponed, dates yet to be announced

From the press release:

The Martha’s Vineyard Film Festival has brought our community together for twenty years! Your health and wellness—physical, mental, and spiritual—is so important to us. With that in mind, we have decided to postpone our upcoming film festival March 26–29.

We are sorry to disappoint you and to cause any inconvenience. After all of the months we’ve spent preparing to connect with you, we too are disappointed that the festival is being put on hold—but we strongly believe we need to do our part to protect our vulnerable community members from the threat of COVID-19 (coronavirus), and we hope you will understand.

We also hope to be able to produce a modified version of our film festival in late May or early June, when the weather is warm and coronavirus may no longer be such a threat. As so much is changing everyday, these are tentative dates only. We will keep you updated as our plans evolve.

For those of you who have purchased tickets or passes, we’ll be getting in touch to provide refunds.

Stay healthy, be careful, and enjoy your lives!
