BSAF 2019: Boston Turkish Film Festival, Day One

Boston Springs A Fethival 2019 is here, people! And we’re bringing you all the schedules, all the goings on from ALL the festivals over the next six weeks, so hold on tight, kiddies! The Boston Turkish Film Festival launches it’s 18th annual fest today. BTFF is a component of the overall Boston Turkish Festival, which also has a great line up of music performances to enjoy.  This year will kick off with the critically acclaimed film The Wild Pear Tree, from director Nuri Bilge Ceylan. Here’s the synopsis from the official website:

For some, the countryside is a place of exile where all hopes ultimately merge with solitude. A boundless place of exile where all hopes and dreams merge with despair like the coinciding destinies of fathers and sons…

The screening starts at 6:30 PM at the Remis Auditorium at the Museum of Fine Arts, 465 Huntington St, Boston. Tickets for opening night can be purchased through the MFA website.
