The 14th annual Boston Underground Film Festival (the oldest of the four spring fests – Irish is 13, BIFF and IFFB both 10 this year) gets underway tonight with opening night film John Dies At The End, directed by Don Coscarelli (Phantasm, Bubba HoTep), who will be in attendance at tonight’s screening. Based on the novel by Cracked.Com editor David Wang, the horror comedy got great notices earlier this month at SXSW, and looks to bring a sold out crowd to Cambridge’s Brattle Theatre.

Here’s the trailer for the film – hilarious and hella fun all the way around – we hope to see you all there this evening!

You can order tickets from the Brattle Theatre’s website at http://brattlefilm.org, and check out full descriptions about the films and download a PDF of this year’s program at the festival’s official website at http://bostonunderground.org.  We are very proud to be among the supporters of this great festival this year, and will bring you news and daily info here on BP, trailers on PNR/SC’s Daily Trailer feature over at http://subjectcinema.com, and a complete wrap up of the festival as part of Subject:CINEMA’s 2nd annual “Boston Springs A Fethival” podcast in early May!
