Boston Underground Film Festival gets underway Thursday at the Brattle

The 14th annual Boston Underground Film Festival (the oldest of the four spring fests – Irish is 13, BIFF and IFFB both 10 this year) gets underway this Thursday, March 29, with opening night film John Dies At The End, directed by Don Coscarelli (Phantasm, Bubba HoTep), who will be in attendance at the opening night screening. Based on the novel by Cracked.Com editor David Wang, the horror comedy got great notices earlier this month at SXSW, and looks to bring a sold out crowd to Cambridge’s Brattle Theatre.

Here’s the lineup for the whole festival, which runs March 29-April 1, all screenings are at the Brattle, parties at various Cambridge locations:
