The Independent Film Festival of Boston kicks off today with the critically acclaimed (and audience award winner) Sundance favorite Being Elmo. The documentary is a behind the scenes profile of Muppeteer Kevin Clash and how he rose from a gang-infested neighborhood to become the master of the most popular muppet in Sesame Street history.

The IFFB continues through next Wednesday, and we will continue to bring you coverage and reviews of the NINE films we will be checking out.
